They're called bloodborne pathogens, or BBPs-microorganisms in your blood that can cause diseases like hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and human immunodeficiency virus or HIV. Anyone can get infected and you can't tell for sure who's carrying a bloodborne pathogen. People can carry these virus for years while looking and feeling healthy.
