Are you dealing with internal harassment between employees? The first half of this one-day class will focus on understanding harassment and what can be done about it. The session will focus on how to recognize discrimination and harassment and tips for what to do and what not to do if you receive a complaint of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.

The second half of the class will focus on increasing meaningful communication in the office and hands-on conflict resolution strategies, particularly how to have difficult conversations. Conflict occurs every day, is experienced by everyone, and cannot be avoided. And yet, most employers are ill prepared for responding to or managing workplace conflict. The objective of this workshop is for managers and supervisors to learn how to address or manage conflict more effectively. Oftentimes, the conflict is a result of the problematic behavior of a small number of employees. The instructor will share strategies for how supervisor can better deal with the problematic behavior of the gossiper, passive resistant individual, know-it-all, and constant complainer.

Who Should Attend

Supervisors and/or managers with responsibility for managing conflict between employees and employee-supervisory conflict.
