This webinar will take the participants through the online ordering process utilizing the new State of Washington, General Administrations contract for public transportation vehicles. Participants will learn how to access the website, view and compare a wide selection of vehicles, build their own vehicle based on available options and actually place a vehicle order online. It will also cover training on the Washington State Cutaway Accessible Bus Contract; saving money and time through it's use and advantages. Representatives from both GA and WSDOT will present and demonstrate the benefits of the new statewide contract and online ordering system.

Who Should Attend

Procurement Officers from public transit agencies; Non-profit Community Transportation Providers; Tribal Transportation Providers; and all public agencies, municipalities, and political subdivisions eligible to purchase off state contracts.

Workshop Presenter

David Chenaur Capital Programs Manager, WSDOT Public Transportation Division. David has been in state government for 18 years; 6 years with WSDOT. He has been involved with grant funded public transportation projects and helped create the vehicle specifications for the new statewide public transportation minibus contract.

Dale Colbert, CPPB, CPPO Unit Manager, GA-Office of State Procurement, currently Procurement Unit Manager at the Office of State Procurement. Dale manages a team of contract writers and administrators that create and oversee contracts on behalf of the state for goods and services. Dale is a recipient of the Governors award for excellence. He established many of Washingtons contracts, and has had a major impact on the efficiency of the state procurement process. Dale twice attended The University of Washington, graduating with majors in Ecology and Economy. Before coming to the state, Dale was an import buyer, traveling the globe on behalf of major retailers. Dale is here today as the co-developer of the states first bus contract.

Breann Aggers GA-OSP, will be the contract administrator for this contract.

Members and Non-Members

Members are determined to be employees of transportation systems providing services to the public in Washington State and members of the partner organizations that make-up the Coalition. The partners are: Washington State Department of Transportation, Washington State Transit Association, Community Transportation Association of the Northwest, Washington State Transit Insurance Pool, and Eastern Washington University Northwest Tribal Technical Assistance Program.

Such transportation systems include any combination of services, facilities, and infrastructure related to transit, special needs transportation, ridesharing, airport shuttles, passenger rail, ferries, and taxi services. Individuals who do not work for a transportation system as defined above are considered non-members and will be charged an additional $25 per day training fee.

Location and Schedule

The class will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m. Access information will be sent once you have registered. This includes a toll free dial-in phone number and access code to dial into the seminar and the internet address and login instructions to access the presentation on your computer. This class is limited to 50 participants.



The 90 minute session is interactive and you will be able to submit questions live to our speaker via computer during the session. You will also receive an electronic copy of the presentation by e-mail.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your workshop registration without penalty, up to, July 22, 2010

Cancellations made on or later than July 23, 2010 will be charged the full workshop fee. The Training Coalition may cancel the class if on July 23, 2010 , fewer than 12 people are registered for the course. If the Training Coalition cancels the course, participants will receive a complete refund.
